About Me
My Work
What is my work about? Feeding the Fandom! Whoever or whatever you're cheering for is what I love to capture and deliver. Drawing deeply from my love of Greek mythology, sculptures from the classical era, and the Old Masters, I try to make each of my pieces capture a powerful moment that highlights their strength, power, purpose, and joy (or lack-thereof).
When my loving wife and I welcomed our 3rd and 4th children into the world and my studio space became much needed play space I began to explore digital media. Now, I'm in love! My program of choice is Autodesk Sketchbook because of how simple and easy it is - I'm not looking for bells and whistles, I'm looking for a digital drawing board that can capture the nuance of my freehand.
People have asked me what the secret is to my photo realistic style and the answer is low opacity and lots of strokes. I do not manipulate photos or use AI - I'm just that good... and that humble. ; )
Biography
For as long as I can remember, my very best days have included marker stains on my hands, plasticine under my finger nails or charcoal smudged across my face. Now, as an adult I would add a tablet under my arm.
Born and raised in Milton, Ontario, Canada - Bachelor's of Fine Art (Art) from the University of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada - settled and working in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada with my wife and four amazing kids.
I'm extremely grateful for this gift and so I try at every turn to use it to bring joy to others while also supporting the causes I believe in.
In between drawings and my time as a pastor you'll find me cheering for my New York Rangers, messing around with my kids, cooking, watching movies, and trying to play hockey.
